The New York Law School Law Review is a participant in the Open Access Law Program, a new program designed to make legal scholarship freely available online to everyone, without undue copyright and licensing restrictions.

Consistent with these principles, the Law Review posts all content on-line, in easily accessible pdf format. The Law Review acquires no rights in the content, except the limited right to publish and post the material. Copyright remains with the author. Open Access is an initiative of the Science Commons Publishing Project, which seeks to reduce the legal and logistical effort involved in managing copyrighted scholarly publications, and of Creative Commons, a nonprofit organization that provides flexible copyright licenses for authors and artists.
